Memorial Saturday in Dublin

Gathered in communal prayer and guided by the Lord’s life-giving words, “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgement, but has passed from death to life” (John 5:24), the faithful in Ireland once again bore witness to their faith in the Resurrection and life eternal.Today’s Divine Liturgy reminded us that, in Christ our Lord, no one is forgotten, and that Christian love transcends every boundary between heaven and earth. As candles were lit, prayers offered and kolyva blessed, our hearts were warmed by the hope of our eventual reunion in the Kingdom of Heaven.May the Lord grant peace, salvation and eternal rest to all Orthodox Christians who have fallen asleep in the hope of the Resurrection.
