At the invitation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the United Kingdom, His Grace Bishop Nektarije of London and Great Britain and Ireland attended the event, accompanied by the Very Reverend Stavrophor Dragan Lazić, Archpriest and Dean of Southern Britain.
The presentation highlighted the significance and potential of this international event for Serbia, as well as the opportunities it offers for building connections, exchanging knowledge and experience, and establishing new forms of cooperation. Particular attention was given to the involvement of the Serbian diaspora, whose knowledge, experience and networks can contribute to showcasing Serbia and strengthening its links with partners around the world.
The gathering formed part of a wider campaign by the Government of the Republic of Serbia to inform Serbs living abroad about EXPO 2027 and the opportunities for their active participation.
The evening’s artistic programme featured Ana Torbica, a soprano, baroque violist and music educator based in London, and Predrag Gosta, a conductor, harpsichordist and doctoral researcher in musicology at the University of Oxford.
EXPO 2027 will take place in Belgrade from 15 May to 15 August 2027 under the slogan “Play for Humanity”, bringing together people from around the world in a spirit of encounter, creativity and the exchange of ideas.
