On Sunday, 25 October 2026, when the Church commemorates the Holy Fathers of the Seventh Ecumenical Council, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Church of the Holy Prince Lazar — Lazarica in Birmingham, presided over by the parish priest, Protopresbyter-Stavrophor Nenad Popović.I
In his homily on the Gospel parable of the Sower, the faithful were reminded of the call to receive the Word of God with open hearts and to preserve it through prayer, faith and good works. The commemoration of the Holy Fathers of the Seventh Ecumenical Council also served as a reminder of the importance of preserving the Orthodox faith and venerating the holy icons.
As part of his pastoral ministry to the faithful in the surrounding areas, fr. Nenad celebrated Vespers in Coventry on Saturday, 24th October, and in Worcester on Sunday, 25th October.
These prayerful gatherings provided an opportunity for communal prayer, spiritual strengthening and fellowship between the faithful and their priest.
