The Feast of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos Solemnly Celebrated in Bedford

Following the dismissal, His Grace the Bishop addressed the faithful gathered there with a sermon appropriate to the Feast of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos.

On this occasion, he also recalled Saint Nektarios of Aegina, who was born on this feast day, in 1846, in Silivri, Thrace, to his father, Dimosthenis, and his mother, Vasiliki.

Following the service, the festive gathering continued in fellowship, with refreshments lovingly prepared and served to all those present by the devoted parish ladies.
